If you are in the correct job you should be:
-Motivated
-Inspired
-Listened to
-Well paid
If you are not then you have to leave that trap before it is too late. The main thing that keep us doing stuff we do not want to do is fear. Obviously it is not as simple. I too feel trap in a job I do not want to be and believe me I am trying to change things but I cannot. So this what I have learned from the process of escaping I am in now.
1. You have to organize your ideas and have a plan.
Most people want to change their life but it is not easy. Of course we all have obligations to attend and money is something that we need to survive in this society. So you will not be able to change your life until you have this part figured out. I am not saying that you wait until you have money saved to start a new live and try. For most of us it is impossible to muster all this money. What I mean is that you should not quit your job only because you really hate it. Hold on until either you find something you like or start something aside and wait until you can make a living out of it. It is frustrating because, at least in my case, I am not able to find anything better in the market but at least I am trying to do something aside my job. Why is it so important? Because even if it is a bit frustrating you will have the feeling that you are doing something. There are loads of people who are successful and made money with something that in some cases they did not even expect. So be on the lookout for opportunities.
2. Find comfort in the the good things.
I have always hate when people say that you should not complain because it could be worse. Of course it could be worse but it could also be much better. You try to find what makes you happy without comparing yourself to others. If you do not like your life try to change it and do not listen what other people say. But you have to appreciate the good things your job has. If it has none then find comfort in your personal life. If not find strength in the idea that you can change your life and take the bull by the horns.
3. Surround yourself by people you find inspiring.
As I said before there is no point in listening to fuckers who want to undermine your self-steam and bring you down. You should talk to people who can encourage you and give you ideas. Try to learn from everything. Make some research and ask people with expertise in certain area to put you in the right way. Things that you may never heard before can be the escape. If you feel that something has potential get interested, do some research and maybe you will find that it was just what you had been looking for.
4. Patience and perseverance
That is probably the worst part. I have no patience whatsoever and it is the key in this endeavor. Things can take a while maybe even years. It is really easy to give up. You may feel that on top of having to spend time in your stupid job now you have to use your free time to try to build something that has little chance to success. Well, if you get this feeling grow inside you then your idea will have very little change for success. It is obviously important to analyse the results and see if you have to adjust things or find a different approach. But whatever you do do not let despair to own your decision.
To hell with everything. The job market is getting insane. Too many people and not many jobs. We have to find a way. Be creative, open our minds and show them the finger when the moment come.
